The Philippines has only seen 3,052 cases of measles and three deaths for the first nine months of 2015, as compared to an excess of 53,000 cases and 102 deaths for the first nine months of 2014. Much of this can likely be attributed to mass measles vaccination campaigns in September and October of 2014.
In the fight eight month of 2015, Mongolia reported 20,010 cases of measles. In September, there was a dramatic decrease and only 151 cases were reported. Prior to the outbreak that began in March this year, the last confirmed measles case in Mongolia was in the summer of 2010.
