The Kwara State government announced that vaccination against measles would be given to a total of 767,200 children ages 1-5 years old, in the ongoing nation wide immunisation exercise that would take place in 995 working points in the state. It would cover all 193 wards of the 16 local government areas.
Dr Amina Yahaya said that the measles vaccines are safe and also assured parents and guardians that the injection will not cause paralyses as it will be given at the arm. Additionally, Mild cases of fever should not be a cause for alarms.
